This was such a charming playground and while we were there, all the locals raved about it! The City of Weaver is also hosting some amazing events in this park so be sure to check out the FB page for upcoming dates!

Weaver City Park (Elwell Park) serves not only as a park but also as an access point to the Chief Ladiga Trail. The Park is equipped with picnic facilities, basketball courts, a tennis court, a playground, splash pad, disk golf and a walking trail, but it also has a skate park and a dog park with military grade obstacles. I love the mix of ‘vintage’ (ie what us parents grew up on!) playground equipment mixed in with the new updated play structure and splash pad!
This playground truly offers something for all ages. Toddlers and preschoolers will love the splash pad and the main play space. School age will love the tall slides! Teens are going to love the skate park and adults have disk golf and a shaded walking area. There are tons of covered sitting areas from under a pavilion to individual picnic tables with personal umbrellas. The ground is all mulch and grass besides the splash pad. There are tons of sitting options throughout the park with a good view of the play spaces from all angles.
Splash pad is currently open on the weekends! There is a dog park with obstacle course right beside the park. It is not close enough to the playground to be able to watch your child play while letting your dog play, but they are connected.
The skatepark is probably my favorite aspect of this park as it is so unique to our area. There are ramps and rails and anything you’d need to have a great time from beginner to advanced skaters. There is a Little Library on site so bring your books to share and grab some new ones to read! Parking is connected to the park. Restrooms are located in a pavilion attached to the play area.
