The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Robbery and Murder that occurred at a convenience store and seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect. On February 10, 2022, at approximately 9:45 A.M., Talladega County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Crown Service Station located on Old Birmingham Highway in reference to a possible robbery. When deputies arrived, they found Sri Satya Krishna Chitturi, 27, unresponsive inside the store. Mr. Chitturi was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Chitturi was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. An undetermined amount of U.S. currency was taken from the store.
Investigators are seeking any information on the suspect described as a black male, approximately 6’ to 6’2”, with a slender build wearing black clothing, a Air Jordan backpack, with black and white Nike shoes.
