Why the slogan CRAP? Cancer is CRAP! But we can show our love and support to those fighting cancer. The Crap Run is held each year in loving memory of Venecia Butler who wanted to spread some love to her fellow patients receiving treatment by giving them a Care Bag full of useful items. Show your support by running or walking for those warriors in treatment who need a little pick me up provided by our Care Bags.

Traditional 5K Crap Run. Join us in person on our regular course in Piedmont, AL. This course is relatively flat which is good for beginner runners getting into the groove or experienced runners looking for that speed challenge. It will be an evening of friendly competition and celebration. GO ALL OUT and wear your CRAZIEST GLOW IN THE DARK OUTFIT!!
Clydesdale and Athena. These divisions are designed to even the playing field as much as possible for men and women with larger builds. It’s not that smaller builds are inherently more athletic or fit; they’re just different. Just like separating runners based on gender or age, we give you the opportunity to compete against athletes with similar physical builds. To qualify for Athena, a female must weigh over 165 lbs. For the Clydesdale, men must weigh over 220 lbs. Choosing to participate will be on your honor. No weigh ins will be done. Selecting Clydesdale or Athena will make you ineligible for other awards based on gender or age. We give awards to the Top 3 Male Finishers and top 3 Female Finishers.
Kid Fun Run. We have a 1-mile Kid Fun Run for our younger runners. Children 10 and under can participate in this mini Crap Run.
Virtual 5K Crap Run. We would love to see all our valuable supporters near and far at our 10th Annual Crap Run, but we understand your level of comfort in these trying COVID times may not allow you to be in person, or you have a scheduling conflict, we invite you to sign up for our Virtual 5k Crap Run. Run or walk anytime on any course between July 30th – October 1st. We will mail your shirt. Upload your photos of your walk/run on our facebook page and print a “finisher certificate”.
Cancellation of Event . All in person races are run rain or shine; however, we may be forced to cancel our event due to COVID-19. You will be notified immediately by texts or emails if the events are cancelled. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund. Runners registered for our 5k will have an option to switch to our Virtual 5K or have their registration fee donated to the event. You will receive an official tax receipt for the registration fee that has been converted to a donation. But lets stay positive and healthy so we can run for this great cause.

Venecia’s Foundation is an incorporated, 501C(3) non-profit organization. Our purpose is to provide aid, support, and comfort to cancer patients and their families. Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation spend hours at a hospital to receive treatment. Venecia’s goal for this Foundation was to brighten the day of those in treatment by sharing our faith and love. Keeping her dream alive, Venecia’s Foundation stuffs care bags with large soft blankets, chapstick, journal, soft toothbrush and toothpaste, dental floss, puzzle/crossword book, travel size pillow, lubricant eye drops, sugar free candy and gum, Lubriderm lotion (24oz), ink pen; port pillows, tissues and a gas card. These bags are being sent to surrounding hospitals, doctor offices and even mailed to places around the country. All this is only possible with the support of donations and fundraising.
