2021 East AlabamaWorks Regional Hiring Fair

We currently have more than 40 employers from around our region (Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Randolph, Talladega counties) who are registered to attend the event. That represents hundreds of open jobs that desperately need to be filled asap! Just wanted to ask if you would do an article to help us promote the event.

The unemployment rate is now down to 3.1% in the state, but that is not a complete representation of the need for people to re-enter the workforce. Many people who were working prior to the pandemic, have simply not returned to work and are not even looking to return to work right now. We have to find a way to reach out that group and entice them back into the workforce.
