ANNISTON, AL — Anniston Museums and Gardens will host its monthly Berman Book Club on Tuesday, May 5 at 6 p.m. at its Museum Drive location in Anniston.
The program invites participants to explore historical fiction through guided discussion and curated artifacts from the Berman collection that relate to each month’s selected book. Organizers say the goal of the series is to provide additional historical context and encourage conversation around the themes and events presented in the literature.
The featured selection for May is Cloud of Sparrows by Takashi Matsuoka, a novel set in 19th-century Japan that blends historical events with fictional storytelling.
According to event details, pre-registration is encouraged. Admission is listed at $8 per person, with a discounted rate available for members.
The event is open to the public, including those who do not use Facebook, and will take place at the Anniston Museums and Gardens campus on Museum Drive.
