Weaver, AL – The Georgia-Alabama Land Trust will host a guided Wildflower Walk at Weaver Cave Preserve on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
According to event information shared by the organization, the walk will focus on native plants and wildflowers found throughout the preserve. The guided experience will be led by Dr. Jimmy Triplett, a botanist familiar with the area’s native flora.
Organizers say the event is recommended for ages 10 and older. Participants are encouraged to wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes, as the walk will include easy-to-moderate trails and some off-trail areas with uneven terrain.
The preserve is located at 1000 Cave Road in Anniston, with signage planned to direct visitors to parking areas.
