Jacksonville, AL – The Jacksonville Public Library will host an educational event titled “Digging for Answers: Fossils & Living Fossils” on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the library located at 200 Pelham Rd. S in Jacksonville, AL.
According to the event description, attendees will learn about different types of fossils and how fossils provide clues about plants, animals, and environments from the past. The program will also include hands-on opportunities to examine a variety of fossils.
In addition to traditional fossils, participants will have the chance to see and explore three “living fossils,” organisms that have changed very little over long periods of time and are considered links to ancient life forms.
The event is open to the public.
