ANNISTON, AL — The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County will host an informational program titled “Borrow More Than Books: Discover the Library of Things!” on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the library, located at 108 E. 10th Street in Anniston.
The event will introduce community members to the library’s “Library of Things” collection, which allows patrons to borrow a variety of items beyond traditional books and media. Available items include tools, technology, games, musical instruments, creative equipment, and other practical resources that can be checked out with a library card.
According to event organizers, the program is designed to help residents learn how the collection can support personal projects, encourage exploration of new hobbies, and provide access to equipment that might otherwise be costly to purchase.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about available items, how the borrowing process works, and ways the collection can be utilized for home improvement projects, creative pursuits, educational activities, and recreational interests.
The event is open to the public and offers attendees the chance to discover resources available through the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County that extend beyond traditional library services. Participants can earn three rewards for attending the program.
