Oxford Business Workshop to Focus on Starting a Business

Historic Main Street Oxford Business Seminar

Oxford, AL – Historic Main Street Oxford, in collaboration with Jacksonville State University, will host “From Idea to Income: Starting a Business” on June 16, 2026.

The event is part of the Oxford Business Development Series and will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Oxford Civic Center, located at 407 McCullars Lane.

June Art Camp

The session is designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs learn the fundamentals of launching a business in Oxford. Topics will include business planning, funding opportunities, and local resources available to new business owners.

The program will be presented by Hunter Gentry, Oxford Director of Economic Development and Main Street, and Ken Grissom of the Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center.

Scheduled discussion topics include business planning essentials, identifying funding sources and grant opportunities, and navigating local regulations and business support resources.
