Anniston Library to Host Kid’s Crafternoon Featuring Mini Cross Stitch Projects

Kids Crafternoon

ANNISTON, AL — The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County will host a Kid’s Crafternoon on Wednesday, June 17, at 4 p.m. at the library, located at 108 E. 10th Street in Anniston. The event will give children an opportunity to create mini cross stitch projects while learning a traditional crafting skill.

Cross stitch is a beginner-friendly form of embroidery that uses simple X-shaped stitches to create designs and patterns. Activities such as cross stitching can help children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, patience, concentration, and creative problem-solving while providing a fun and relaxing artistic outlet.
