Jacksonville Public Library to Host Genealogy Program June 27

JACKSONVILLE, AL — The Jacksonville Public Library will host an adult genealogy program titled “Digging Up the Past – Unearth Your Story with Genealogy” on Saturday, June 27, at 10 a.m.

The event will take place at the library, located at 200 Pelham Road South in Jacksonville.

According to event information, guest speaker Lisa Mills will lead the program. Mills brings 40 years of experience in Native American research and has spent 15 years providing support through FamilySearch, a genealogy research platform.

The presentation will focus on research tools and resources available to individuals interested in tracing their family history and building their family tree. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal devices, though library devices will also be available for use during the program.

Registration is open from June 10 through June 24. Seating is limited.
