MONTGOMERY, AL — Keith A. Parrott, President and Chief Executive Officer of Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA), representing the Northeast Regional Council.
The election was confirmed during the Association’s recent Annual Meeting.
Parrott will represent hospitals in Northeast Alabama while serving alongside fellow trustees to help guide the Association’s efforts to strengthen healthcare access, quality and long-term sustainability for communities across the state.
“Keith brings extensive healthcare leadership experience, a deep understanding of Alabama’s healthcare landscape and a longstanding commitment to our Association,” said Danne Howard, President and CEO of the Alabama Hospital Association. “One of AlaHA’s greatest strengths is the ability of hospitals across Alabama to come together and speak with one voice on behalf of the patients and communities we serve. Keith has been a strong advocate for that mission throughout his career, and we are pleased to welcome him to the Board.”
Parrott currently serves as President and CEO of Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. He brings nearly 30 years of executive healthcare leadership experience, having held leadership positions with AMITA Health, Tenet Healthcare, Brookwood Baptist Health, Baptist Health System and Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.
His involvement with the Alabama Hospital Association spans many years. In addition to previously serving on the Board of Trustees, Parrott has also served on the Association’s Executive Committee and numerous governance, finance, education and policy committees.
Founded in 1921, the Alabama Hospital Association is a statewide trade organization that supports member hospitals through advocacy, education, representation and services aimed at improving healthcare throughout Alabama.
