OXFORD, AL — Oxford Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the City of Oxford, will host its Junk Journal Retreat: Summer Edition on Friday, July 24, at the Oxford Civic Center, offering a full day of crafting, creativity, and community for journal enthusiasts of all skill levels.
The event will take place at the Oxford Civic Center, located at 401 McCullars Lane, and is designed for both experienced junk journal creators and those new to the hobby.
According to event organizers, attendees will have access to shared creative supply tables, dedicated workspaces, door prizes, a coffee bar, and summer-themed activities throughout the day.
Participants can choose between two attendance options:
- Full Retreat Pass – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for $30, which includes a light lunch, dinner, and access to the coffee bar.
- Evening Creative Pass – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for $15, intended for those attending after work and including dinner.
Organizers said the retreat is intended to provide a relaxed atmosphere where participants can spend time creating, connecting with fellow crafters, and enjoying a day centered on artistic expression.
Registration is available online, and organizers encourage interested participants to reserve their spots early, noting that space is limited.
