Anniston, AL – The Calhoun County Chamber Executive Board of Directors has announced that longtime Executive Director Linda K. Hearn will retire at the end of 2026 following more than 36 years with the organization.
The announcement was made following a meeting of the Chamber’s Executive Committee.
“It is certainly a bittersweet time. We hate to see Linda go, but we are excited for her as she prepares for a new chapter and some well-deserved time away from the daily grind,” said Kathy Gregerson, chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Hearn began her career with the Calhoun County Chamber in November 1990. During her more than three decades with the organization, she has provided leadership to Chamber staff and overseen its day-to-day operations.
A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Hearn recently earned her Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville State University alongside her daughter, Becca. She is married to Dr. Mark Hearn and has two children.
The Chamber Board and staff said plans will be announced for a celebration honoring Hearn and recognizing her years of service to the organization and Calhoun County.
With Hearn’s retirement planned for the end of the year, the Executive Board is beginning the process of forming a search committee to identify the Chamber’s next executive director.
“We are incredibly grateful for all Linda has given to this Chamber and to our community,” the Executive Board said.
Additional information about the search process and the planned celebration is expected to be released at a later date.
