PIEDMONT — For all of the speed and experience Alexandria has at skill positions, it all starts up front.
The Valley Cubs’ offensive line decided to finish it Friday at Piedmont.
J.J. Beason rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown, quarterback Cole Wheeler threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns, and Royce Trantham came up with a key, point-blank interception to help Alexandria to hold Piedmont scoreless in the second half on the way to a 35-12 victory.
