Chris Patterson, Manager of the Jacksonville Water & Utility Department, has advised there is a significant water main break on 12th Avenue NE. The workers on scene discovered a large rock under the pipe that has caused and 18 foot split. They have determined that an entire “stick” of pipe will need to be replaced.
The water has been shut off to the entire NE area and they expect to have it restored by 4:00 pm however, the work will be ongoing to replace the pipe and restore normal water flow.
