At approximately 11:40 am Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, all owned by Facebook went offline. Facebook Chief Technology Officer, Mike Schroepfer, issued a statement via Twitter “*Sincere* apologies to everyone impacted by outages of Facebook powered services right now. We are experiencing networking issues and teams are working as fast as possible to debug and restore as fast as possible”.
The outage has also effected some of the main offices of the three social media apps by not allowing employees to access certain areas due to controls being a part of the internet connected equipment.
If you are attempting to access Facebook and find that its not working, its not your computer or electronic devise, they are down for an undermined amount of time.
