JACKSONVILLE 9, PIEDMONT 3: Tito Canales went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Grant Patterson’s two-run double capped a five-run sixth inning that sealed the Golden Eagles’ victory. Patterson also pitched the first four innings to get to win.
Dakota Willingham had three hits for Jacksonville, while Carmelo Canales and Jackson Bonner had two hits apiece. Austin Estes went 2-for-4 for Piedmont.
CHEROKEE COUNTY 8, WEAVER 3: Connor Wilson went 3-for-4 with two extra-base hits and three RBIs to lead the Warriors. Briley Carter went 3-for-3 for Weaver, while Elijah Smith and Christian Maturello each had two hits on either side of him in the Bearcats’ lineup.
JCA 15, GASTON 10: Cam Moses homered and Tyler Doggrell had three hits to lead the Thunder’s 12-hit attack. Brodie Clay and Braxton Brown had two hits apiece. Moses also took a turn on the hill and allowed no hits and struck out six.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 11, RANDOLPH COUNTY 8: The Tigers scored five runs in the sixth inning without the benefit of a run-scoring hit to take their first lead of the game. They trailed 6-1 after one inning and 8-6 after four. Brennan Jarrell went 3-for-4 and Kannon Robertson had two hits, including a game-tying triple in the fourth.
