The poet laureate of Alabama, Ashley M. Jones, will visit Jacksonville this week. She will read from her work for the JSU Writes! series on March 9, 4:30 p.m, in Merrill Hall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

The Women’s History Month Committee will announce the winners of its faculty, student, and gender advocate awards with a new lifetime achievement award presented to Dr. Roberta Watts.
