The JSU public relations department shared that Dr. Reginald F. Overton, professor of sport management, was recently elected to the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation Board of Commissioners, a specialized accrediting body whose purpose is to promote and recognize excellence in sport management education worldwide through specialized accreditation. Overton, who has served at JSU since 2014, said “It is an honor to be elected to a position within such a prestigious organization. I look forward to representing the JSU family.”
