Anniston, AL – The Anniston city Public information officer, Jackson Hodges, released the following information regarding emergency intake of animals. The City of Anniston would like to make everyone aware that until further notice the Calhoun County Animal Control Center will only be able to accept animals in emergency situations due to high intake levels coupled with staffing shortages.
City leadership asks for citizens’ patience as our animal control unit must prioritize emergency situations when addressing reported animal concerns throughout the City of Anniston due to the current constraints of the Calhoun County Animal Control Center.
