Anniston, AL – At the end of July Cotina and Courtney Stroud, owners of The Lush Garden, decided to try their hand at a brunch event. This event would be reservation only seating and would consist of a limited menu with a few select cocktail specials. When Mrs. Stroud spoke to the Calhoun Journal she said they had wanted to have more daytime events, but were a little nervous about having so many orders hit at once. Little did she know her staff would handle the event like the pros they are. Food and drinks flowed as easily as the conversation at this successful event. Laughter and talking could be heard above the ambient music that has become a signature of the The Lush Gardens. All the dining areas were full and and diners also enjoyed the outdoor patio oasis which was filled with fresh flowers.
The Lush Garden stresses it is not a restaurant. It is a bar and lounge and focuses on small pates, wine, and cocktails. The owners are enjoying the success of this new venture while balancing regular work lives as well. The whole idea behind this venue was a place where people could gather and socialize while enjoying tasty food and of course a great drink! They are still working on developing the patio area and making it more intimate area.
Music is a very important component and Mrs. Stroud stresses it is a mix of R&B, jazz, 80’s and 90’s. She was also happy to report that the community has been very supportive. She said how thankful they are and how generous patrons have been with their support. As to future brunch events there is a possibility that this could be a reoccurring event and she looks forward to seeing what more they can offer the community.
