  • Bid Extensions
    • ACCA Region 6 Debris Removal – Unanimously Approved
      • This bid was extended for 12 months.
    • ACCA Region 6 Debris Monitoring – Unanimously Approved
      • This bid was extended for 12 months. Commission Hess stated that these programs are in place to be proactive in the case of storms. The county will be able to be responsive immediately and not have to wait for the bid process to begin.
  • Memorandum of Agreement – Jail Nutritionist, Stacey Johnson – Unanimously Approved
    • Stacey S. Johnson RD, Ld continue to participate as needed to plan a menu to meet nutrition standards. The cost of the agreement is $650.00
  • ARPA Funds Resolution – Woodland Park – Seal & Stripe parking lot – Unanimously Approved
    • $200,000 has been allocated to this projects.
  • Acceptance of Subdivision Plat – Barrington Farms Phase 5 – Unanimously Approved
    • This plan has been approved by the County Engineering Department.
  • Board Appointments: (1) Coosa Valley Youth Services – At Large – Unanimously Approved
    • Melissia Wood was reappointed for a three year term.
  • Commission Meeting Change Resolution – Unanimously Approved
    • The November 10th meeting was canceled and the next meeting will be November 16th per state law. This will be the swearing in ceremony for the new commission.
• Public Comments
  • CJ Abernathy spoke to remind everyone about the Take Back Day on October 29th with ASAP.
  • Audrey Maxwell with the Chamber of Commerce spoke about many upcoming events in Calhoun County such as Treadhoofan. She also stated what a successful event the Business Expo was and she thanked the Back County Horseman for hosted a chamber day.
  • Commissioner Shears spork about the success for local volleyball and track teams.
