Oxford, AL – On Saturday, January 28th, the Oxford performing arts cent will host the Alabama Ballet as they present Cinderella. This event begins at 7:30 pm. The timeless tale of Cinderella is transfigured through classical ballet with elegant dancing, spectacular costumes, and stunning scenery. This story-book ballet follows Cinderella in the aftermath of her father’s death. With her struggles between herself, her ugly stepsisters, and a wicked and greedy stepmother, Cinderella has one wish, to go to the Royal Ball. Losing faith that her wish would ever come true, the day leads to Cinderella’s magical encounter with her fairy godmother which in turn, leads her to the Royal Ball. After her late arrival, Cinderella strikes the eye of her Prince Charming and they waltz the night away. Will all the pieces fall together before the ominous stroke of the clock chiming midnight, will Cinderella find true love?
