Anniston, AL – On September 21st, 2022, Deangelo “Dee” Allen, was last seen in the area of the 1000 block of Old Coldwater Rd. in Anniston. The Anniston Police Department has been aggressively investigating the disappearance which later turned into suspected foul play. Anniston Police Chief, Nick Bowles, said that investigators Anniston PD, the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit, and the U.S Marshall’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force were able to develop information that led to murder charges against, Keither Snider (Smith), 50, of Anniston, and Gavin Snider, 25, of Anniston. The Anniston Police Department learned that the Keither Snider found out she was being sought and became more difficult to locate.
On May 5, 2023, Keither Snider was located in West Anniston by Investigators and taken into custody without incident. Chief Bowles further elaborated that Gavin Snider was already in custody with unrelated charges at the Calhoun County Jail. Both are charged with Murder and a no bond is being issued until an Aniah’s Law hearing is held within the court system.
Chief Bowles was thankful for the cooperation with the federal and local agencies that came together to help bring justice to Mr. Allen. He went on to say that “Although there have been arrests made, this investigation is still ongoing.
