Falconry: Then and Now at the Anniston Museums and Gardens

Falconry Then and Now Anniston Museums and Gardens

Anniston, AL – On Thursday, June 22nd at 11:00 am the Anniston Museums and Gardens will host Falconry Then and Now. Falconry is an ancient sport in which falcons or hawks are used to hunt game. It became popular during the Middle Ages among the privileged class in Western Europe and Britain and continues today with modern falconry. Join the Berman Museum and licensed falconers, Shari Rettig and John Brunson, to learn how the sport evolved over hundreds of years, and why falconry is beneficial for wildlife management and conservation. Falconry: Then and Now is included with museum admission and free for AM&G members.
