Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston asks that everyone please be aware of rising temperatures that are projected to peak towards the end of this week and into the weekend. In light of the forecasted weather conditions, a public cooling station at The Bridge at the Anniston First United Methodist Church (1400 Noble St, Anniston, AL 36201) will open from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM from Friday, June 30, through Sunday, July 2. In addition, community members should know that shelter is also available through Interfaith Ministries of Calhoun County (1431 Gurnee Ave, Anniston, AL 36201) from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, as well as at The Right Place (105 W 15th St, Anniston, AL 36201) from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
