  • Consider action to accept the Staff Committee Report for a request for Stop Sign at the Intersection of Eagle Crest Blvd., SW and Hunter Ln., SW and approve Resolution R-2182-23 Amending Resolution NO. 238 Authorizing the Installation of Stop Signs at the Intersection of Eagle Crest Blvd., SW and Hunter Ln., SW, Jacksonville, Alabama. – Unanimously Approved
  • Consider action to accept the Bid Report for Bid No. 23-08 and approve Resolution R-2183-23 to Award Bid No. 23-08, for JPWP#23-119, Test Well on Greenleaf Street to Hand Service Company, Inc. – Unanimously Approved
  • Consideration of Resolution No. R-2184-23 regarding Agreement with the State of Alabama for the Installation of New and Upgrades to Existing Traffic Signals located on AL-21 at Skelton Street, AL-204 and George Douthit Drive. – Unanimously Approved
  • Consideration of Resolution No. R-2185-23 to Award Bid No. 23-07, for JPWP#23-114, CDBG Sewer Project Along Church Avenue, SE, Hatcher Avenue, SE and Green Avenue, SE Areas to Gulf Coast Underground, LLC. – Unanimously Approved

      • Nancy Gillispie with Jacksonville Arts Council to remind all of the Juried Art Show at JSU
      • Gary Humphreys owner of Red Bird. He addressed the council two weeks ago regarding his civil liberties being violated by a city employee. He has not received any communications from any member of the city. He is asking about the policy and procedures that are in place regarding this matter. He specifically wants to know what the position of the city on personal facebook usage to conduct city businesses. He wants to know exactly what the policies is and who is monitoring the process to ensure fair and unbiased targeting. He informed the city he was not going to sit by silently and let this go back.
