Jacksonville, AL – For all Gamecocks JSU has invited those interest to meet the new head baseball coach, Steve Bieser. The office of University Development will host a meet and greet with Coach Bieser at All Steak Restaurant in Cullman, Alabama on August 17th at 6:00 PM. Drinks and appetizers will be provided.
As the third head baseball coach since 1970 Coach Steve Bieser will lead the Gamecocks into Conference USA. He has enjoyed a great deal of success as a head coach after a 13-year professional career as a player. Bieser comes to the Gamecocks after seven seasons as the head coach at Missouri, which followed a four-year stint as the head coach at his alma mater of Southeast Missouri State that saw him win three-straight Ohio Valley Conference titles with the Redhawks. In 11 seasons as a Division I head coach he has posted a 326-252-1 record and was named the OVC Coach of the Year twice. He played 13 seasons for six different MLB organizations, including two seasons at the Major League level and more than eight in AAA. Bieser replaces longtime head coach Jim Case, who recently announced his retirement after 22 seasons with the Jax State program.
They have stated all attendee, “Will have a great time learning more about Jax State Baseball and Coach Bieser’s vision for the team.”
