Pleasant Valley, AL – Surging Pleasant Valley takes Class 2A, Area 10 title. Donoho runner up, also advances to next week’s North Regional. Ohatchee, Piedmont advance in 3A, Area 10. Munford wins 4A, Area 8, Talladega runner up.
Pleasant Valley’s late-season run continued through Tuesday’s Class 2A, Area 10 tournament.
The Raiders (33-12) beat Ranburne 25-8, 25-12, 25-10 to reach the final and beat Donoho 25-17, 18-25, 25-9, 25-20.
Donoho beat Woodland 25-8, 25-12, 25-15 in the other first-round match.
Pleasant Valley and Donoho advanced to next week’s North Regional. The Raiders have won 13 matches in a row since the beginning of the Calhoun County tournament.
