His legacy includes serving as Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and his unwavering advocacy for healthy lifestyles and eliminating health disparities.
Anniston, Dr. Satcher’s hometown, now proudly associates his name with a transformative facility that will embody the principles he championed throughout his illustrious career. The clinic and learning center will provide accessible healthcare services and educational resources, in line with Dr. Satcher’s mission to bridge healthcare gaps.
In collaboration with St. Michael’s Medical Clinic and the Regional Medical Center (RMC) Health Systems, this new venture aims to enhance healthcare access for low-income and uninsured residents of Calhoun County.
