Anniston, Alabama – The Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association (NEABA) is gearing up for a Trail Work Day at Anniston’s McClellan Trails, inviting the community to come together for a day of trail maintenance and camaraderie. The event is scheduled for January 13th, starting at 10:00 am and continuing until the work is done.
NEABA is calling on volunteers to assist in getting Sloan’s Furnace and Free Fall trails back in top-notch condition. Participants are encouraged to bring their tools if available, along with water to stay refreshed throughout the day. The collective effort aims to enhance the trail experience for all riders and outdoor enthusiasts.
The Trail Work Day will kick off at 10:00 am, and volunteers will dedicate their time and energy until the trail maintenance tasks are completed. If time allows, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a ride on the revitalized trails after the work is done. Following the trail activities, the group plans to gather for a social meal, providing an opportunity for participants to connect and share their experiences.
NEABA emphasizes the importance of community involvement in maintaining and improving the local trail system. The organization believes that by working together, trail enthusiasts can contribute to the sustainability and enjoyment of outdoor spaces like McClellan Trails.
For those who appreciate the thrill of outdoor adventures and have a passion for trail maintenance, this Trail Work Day is an ideal opportunity to give back to the community. Whether you are an experienced trail enthusiast or a newcomer eager to contribute, NEABA welcomes all to join this fulfilling day of outdoor stewardship.
