Incident 1: Burglary on Cedar Springs Rd, Jacksonville (November 21 to January 14)
Between November 21 and January 14, a residence on Cedar Springs Rd in Jacksonville fell victim to burglary. The unfortunate incident involved substantial damage to several doors and frames, and the theft of a sentimental wedding and engagement ring set. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information related to this case to come forward and assist in resolving this crime. Any information can be given at 256-236-6600.
Incident 2: Motor Vehicle Theft on Dogwood Ln, Piedmont (January 10, 2024)
On January 10, 2024, a motor vehicle was stolen from a residence in the 1200 block of Dogwood Ln in Piedmont. Along with the vehicle, various hand tools and power tools were also reported stolen. Quick action by the Sheriff’s Office investigators led to the recovery of the unoccupied motor vehicle from a wooded area off Oak Street in Ohatchee the following day. Further investigation and evidence development efforts led to the identification of the suspect.
The suspect, Nathaniel Cale Davis, was located at a property in Piedmont. Attempting to evade authorities, Davis fled on foot but was swiftly chased down and apprehended. Davis now faces multiple charges, including Theft 1st degree for the stolen motor vehicle.
Incident 3: Residential Theft on Mamre Church Rd, Gadsden (January 11 to January 18)
Between January 11 and January 18, another unfortunate incident occurred with a residential theft reported in the 200 block of Mamre Church Rd in Gadsden. Items such as jewelry and electronics were reported stolen.
