Anniston Residents Prepare for Free Disposal Weekend: Clean Up and Declutter

Anniston, AL – As spring approaches, residents of Anniston are gearing up for a convenient opportunity to declutter their homes and dispose of unwanted items. The city has announced its next free disposal day weekend, scheduled for this Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16, running from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both days.

During this disposal event, residents can make use of the free service at designated locations across various wards in the city. In Ward 1, the Pelham Park Parking Lot at 349 Cave Road, Anniston, AL 36206, will be open for disposal. Directions to this location can be found here.

Ward 2 residents can utilize the Carver Community Center Parking Lot at 720 W. 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201. Directions are available here.

For those in Ward 3, the South Highland Community Center Parking Lot at 229 Allen Ave, Anniston, AL 36207, is designated for disposal. Directions can be found here.

Ward 4 residents can head to the Norwood Hodges Community Center Parking Lot at 3125 Spring Valley Rd, Anniston, AL 36207. Directions are available here.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of items free of charge during the specified hours at any of the mentioned locations.

For additional information regarding disposal days or the city’s brush pickup schedule, residents can contact the Public Works Department at 256-231-7742. The department is available to assist Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
