Tragic Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life in Cleburne County

Traffic Fatality

Cleburne County, AL – A single-vehicle crash on Saturday, March 30th, at approximately 2:30 p.m., has resulted in the loss of Brian D. Crouch, a 52-year-old resident of Phenix City. Crouch, succumbed to fatal injuries sustained in the accident.

Reports indicate that Crouch was operating a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when the incident occurred. The motorcycle veered off the roadway, traversed off the bridge before landing on another roadway. The impact was severe, and Crouch was ejected from the motorcycle prior to the collision. Despite efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash site was located on Cleburne County 24 near Alabama 281, situated approximately 10 miles south of the Oxford city limits, in Cleburne County. The circumstances surrounding the incident have prompted an investigation by Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division. As of now, no further details have been disclosed as authorities continue their diligent inquiry into the crash.
