Calhoun County Town Hall Meeting to Address Local Issues and Promote Positive Change

Hobson City, AL – Residents of Hobson City and surrounding areas are invited to participate in a crucial town hall meeting aimed at addressing pressing community issues and fostering positive change. Hosted in collaboration with the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), Alabama New South Coalition, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, the event will take place on Thursday, May 16th, at 6:00 pm in the William Hutchins Building located at 715 Martin Luther King Dr., Hobson City, AL 36201.

The town hall meeting presents a unique opportunity for community members to come together, engage in open dialogue, and strategize on ways to tackle challenges facing the local area. From concerns regarding education, healthcare, and economic development to issues of social justice and equality, all topics relevant to the community’s well-being will be up for discussion.

Attendees are encouraged to voice their opinions, share personal experiences, and contribute ideas for actionable initiatives that can bring about positive change. Representatives from partnering organizations will be present to facilitate discussions and provide valuable insights into potential avenues for progress.

The panelists are Mayor Alberta McCrory, Mayor of Hobson City, AL, Commissioner Fred Wilson, Calhoun County District 1, Celsa Stallworth, Southern Poverty Law Center and Representatives for Alabama Arise.
