Oxford, AL – On Thursday, the Oxford Police Department issued an alert through Chief Bill Partridge’s Facebook page regarding a bear sighting in the Oxford area. The alert noted that the bear was seen, “Moments ago in the city, entering the woods off of Bruce Street and heading towards Recreation Drive”. Residents are advised to contact communications at 256-831-3122 if they spot the bear.
