The annual event, now in its second year, is scheduled for Saturday, June 15, from 7 AM to 2 PM, promising a day filled with the joy of harvesting fresh blueberries straight from the bush.

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural berry-picking day, Rainbow Omega is excited to welcome back the community for another round of blueberry picking. At the heart of Rainbow Omega lies a deeply meaningful mission: to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing them with meaningful employment opportunities and a sense of purpose. A key aspect of this mission is the cultivation of plants, including the vibrant blueberries showcased at Blueberry Hill. Plants grown in the greenhouses at Rainbow Omega are tended to and nurtured by the individuals of Rainbow Omega, there’s a profound sense of pride and fulfillment in seeing their efforts come to fruition. As they witness members of the community leaving with these beautiful plants, there’s a tangible acknowledgment of a job well done, reinforcing their value and contribution. Moreover, the proceeds generated from plant sales serve to further Rainbow Omega’s mission, ensuring that the organization can continue its vital work in empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities.

For those with mobility concerns, Rainbow Omega will provide golf carts to ensure that everyone can participate in the blueberry picking experience. Additionally, for those who prefer not to pick their own berries, pre-picked and packaged blueberries will be available for purchase, allowing everyone to indulge in the delicious fruits of the harvest.

The garden and gift shop features devotional books and an array of plants grown on-site, including beautiful hanging baskets filled with geraniums and impatiens, many on sale for just $10 each. This presents a wonderful opportunity for visitors to not only enjoy the festival but also support Rainbow Omega’s mission of providing meaningful employment to its individuals.
