Anniston, AL – The Anniston Museums and Gardens invites the public to a special educational event, “Testudines Tuesday,” on Tuesday, June 4th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Anniston Museum of Natural History, located at 800 Museum Drive, Anniston, AL 36206. This engaging program will take place every Tuesday throughout June.
The Anniston Museum of Natural History, home to eight fascinating reptiles from the scientific Order Testudines—commonly known as turtles and tortoises—welcomes visitors to meet these scaly, shelled ambassadors. Each week, attendees will have the opportunity to observe one or more of these remarkable creatures as they explore the Tropical Courtyard Garden.
“Testudines Tuesday” aims to educate and inspire guests of all ages by providing up-close encounters with turtles and tortoises. The program is designed to highlight the unique characteristics, behaviors, and habitats of these reptiles, offering a hands-on learning experience in a beautiful garden setting.
The event is included with the price of museum admission and is free for members of the Anniston Museums and Gardens (AM&G). This is an excellent opportunity for families, students, and nature enthusiasts to learn more about these incredible animals and the important role they play in our ecosystem.
