ADEM Proposes Consent Order for Oxford Subdivision Violations

Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) has announced a proposed Consent Order for GC Group Holdings, LLC, the operator of Carteron Heights Subdivision in Oxford, Calhoun County, Alabama. The order addresses violations related to construction activities under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

 

According to ADEM, the violations involved starting and continuing construction without implementing effective Best Management Practices (BMPs), which resulted in non-compliant discharges and offsite sedimentation. To address these issues, the proposed order includes a civil penalty of $19,800.
