- Commissioners thanked County Engineer, Rodney McCain, for his preparation in this plan as $5,000,000.00 in paving projects takes a lot of planning from him and the Highway Department.

- Jakob Williamson w/ the Chamber announced that the Military & Security Affairs appreciation luncheon will be Thursday, August 22 at the Anniston meeting center.
- Doris Bolton w/ DHR announced the Job Fair they are hosting will be August 14th and is open to the public.
- Dr. David West announced a tree maintenance workshop will be held in September in the Administration building. This workship is open to everyone.
