White Plains, AL – White Plains’ Conn, Westminster’s Caldwell lead the way at Wildcat Twilight Run. Lincoln’s boys, Central-Clay’s girls win big schools divisions. White Plains boys and girls finish second in small schools.
White Plains’ Maddyn Conn and Westminster-Oak Mountain’s Weaver Caldwell posted the best times at Thursday’s White Plains Wildcat Twilight Run.
Conn, the two-time defending Class 4A champion, won the girls’ small-schools division, covering 5,000 meters in 19 minutes, 30.64 seconds. Lincoln’s Addison O’Barr won the big-schools division in 23:56.94.
Caldwell won the boys’ small-schools division in 17:30.85, and Lincoln’s Aaron Davis won the big-schools division in 17:43.34.
Lincoln’s boys prevailed in the big-schools division with 19 points, followed by Central-Clay (42) and Sylacauga (77).
Westminster-Oak Mountain edged White Plains 38-41 in the small-schools division, followed by Handley (109), Alexandria (132), Glencoe (158), Piedmont (165), Pleasant Valley (171), Hokes Bluff (182) and Donoho (206).
Central-Clay edged Lincoln 25-35 in big-school girls, and Sylacauga (69) took third.
Westminster-Oak Mountain won the small-school girls with 28 points, and White Plains took second with 48. Rounding out the field were Alexandria (76), Hokes Bluff (133), Pleasant Valley (153), Handley (155) and Cherokee County (155).
