Oxford, AL – The Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitor’s Center is hosting an exciting event designed to empower local small businesses. The event, titled “PITCH,” will take place on October 1st at the Oxford Civic Center. This innovative competition is a unique opportunity for small businesses in the area to showcase their potential and win cash prizes to help grow their enterprises.
PITCH is open to small businesses with an annual profit of $250,000 or less. Interested businesses are encouraged to register now, as the application deadline is fast approaching on September 6th at 5 PM CST. The competition will be fierce, with all applications being carefully reviewed and narrowed down to six finalists. These finalists will then have the chance to present their business ideas live, pitching to a panel of judges and an enthusiastic crowd.
For those interested in competing, non-members of the Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitor’s Center are welcome to apply, though there is a $50 entry fee. This is a fantastic opportunity for both members and non-members to gain exposure, network with other local businesses, and potentially win a cash prize to further their business goals.
The finalists will be announced on September 13th, giving them just a few weeks to prepare their pitches for the live event. PITCH promises to be a thrilling showcase of the region’s entrepreneurial spirit, with three winners walking away with cash prizes to help them build and grow their businesses.
