Regional Medical Center (RMC) Respiratory Therapy Department plays a crucial role in patient care, specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of respiratory conditions. Our skilled respiratory therapists are dedicated to improving lung function and enhancing breathing for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. We provide a wide range of services, including administering oxygen therapy, managing ventilators, performing pulmonary function tests (PFTs) , and offering education and support for patients with chronic lung diseases like COPD, asthma, and sleep apnea.
As integral members of RMC’s healthcare team, respiratory therapists collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans. Our expertise in airway management and mechanical ventilation makes us essential in critical care settings, including emergency rooms (ER) and intensive care units (ICU). By ensuring proper lung function and facilitating optimal oxygenation, we help patients recover from illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and achieve a better quality of life. The Respiratory Therapy Department at RMC is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care, and making a profound difference in patient outcomes every day to the community we serve.
