Children’s of Alabama Celebrates Superhero Month

October marks Superhero Month at Children’s of Alabama, with the hospital celebrating heroes of all sizes. This year’s theme, “Heroes Heal Here,” honors both the young patients who demonstrate strength and resilience throughout their treatments, and the dedicated staff members who care for them daily. The month-long celebration includes several superhero-themed events, with a highly anticipated superhero glow party planned.

Children’s of Alabama, which has been providing specialized medical care since 1911, is known for its exceptional service to ill and injured children across Central Alabama. Recognized as one of the top children’s hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report, the hospital serves patients from every county in Alabama and nearly every state. As a not-for-profit facility and teaching hospital for UAB’s pediatric programs, Children’s of Alabama is committed to both healing and advancing pediatric medical care.

Special thanks were extended to Sunlight Building Services, LLC and Hoar Construction, LLC, whose participation helped bring a day of joy and excitement to the hospital’s patients.

This superhero-filled day serves as a reminder of the joy and hope that small acts of kindness can bring, making a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.
