Anniston, AL – As Veteran’s Day approaches, the Anniston Museums and Gardens is set to host a heartfelt tribute that pays homage to those who sacrificed for the nation’s freedom. On Saturday, November 9th at 2 p.m., visitors are invited to attend a special presentation titled “Fallen Heroes of Calhoun County: The Soldiers and Sacrifice.”
This significant event will be led by Anna Grace Silvey, a dedicated Berman Museum intern and Jacksonville State University student. Silvey will guide attendees through poignant stories that commemorate Calhoun County’s fallen heroes from World War I through the Vietnam War. Additionally, the program will spotlight the narrative of a local Vietnam War veteran whose courage and service left an enduring legacy.
The event provides a unique opportunity for attendees to reflect on the bravery, dedication, and selflessness of these servicemen and women, ensuring that their sacrifices are remembered and honored.
The program is included with daily museum admission and is free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members. Community members are encouraged to join and celebrate the legacies of these local heroes who answered the call of duty.
