Gadsden, AL – Gadsden State Community College freshman Allie Bryant, a Jacksonville native and Pleasant Valley High School alumna, has been named to the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) All-North Second Team in recognition of her impressive performance on the volleyball court. As a key member of the Gadsden State Lady Cardinals, Bryant has showcased both her defensive skills and her leadership, making an immediate impact in her freshman season.
Under the guidance of Gadsden State head coach Courtney Brothers, Bryant completed the season with a remarkable 510 digs, averaging 4.68 digs per set. She played in 29 matches and 109 sets, contributing not only in defense but also on offense with seven kills, 68 assists, and 39 service aces. Coach Brothers praised Bryant’s versatility and court awareness, highlighting her quick reactions and ability to read the ball.
“I am so proud of Allie for receiving this well-deserved recognition,” Brothers said. “Allie is a great leader on and off the court for our program. She excels in the classroom and on the court. Allie leads by her actions on the court, reads the ball well and is very quick to the ball. We are excited to watch Allie continue to grow and succeed next season at Gadsden State.”
Bryant’s exceptional play was noticed early on when she earned ACCC Player of the Week honors on Sept. 3, following an impressive first week of the season where she recorded 98 digs over 21 sets. This achievement marked her as a standout player to watch, and she continued to deliver strong performances throughout the season, securing her position among the conference’s elite players.
