Anniston, AL – The Anniston Museums and Gardens is inviting nature lovers and bird enthusiasts to its “Third Thursday: Edible Bird Houses for Feathered Friends” workshop on Thursday, November 21st, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Anniston Museums and Gardens on Museum Drive. This creative event will highlight Alabama’s vibrant bird population, which actually increases in diversity during the winter months.
Participants will learn how to make attractive birdhouse feeders that both decorate and provide sustenance for feathered visitors. Using peanut butter-based edible glue (with a nut-free option available on request), attendees can craft unique bird feeders to welcome local and migratory birds into their yards.
The workshop is $25 per birdhouse kit, which includes all materials needed for one feeder, along with a pizza dinner. For groups who wish to build a single kit together, additional dinners are available for $8 per person. Anniston Museums and Gardens members receive a $5 discount on the workshop.
Pre-registration is required, with a registration deadline of Monday, November 11th. This family-friendly event is open to the public, making it a perfect way to enjoy an evening of hands-on creativity and to help support local wildlife.
