Hobson City, AL – Hobson City is embracing the holiday spirit with a day full of festive activities on Saturday, December 14, 2024. The town invites residents and visitors to join in the celebration, featuring a Christmas Extravaganza, the Annual Christmas Parade, and a community tree lighting.
The Christmas Extravaganza will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at J.R. Striplin Park. Guests can enjoy a variety of food vendors, craft booths, and more, offering unique gifts and holiday treats. In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the William Hutchins Building, also known as the Old FEMA Building.
The Annual Christmas Parade will kick off at 10 a.m., starting at Hobson City Hall, located in the old C.E. Hanna School. The parade promises festive floats, community groups, and plenty of holiday cheer. This year’s parade coordinator, Lakeshia Fantroy, encourages all participants to register their entries in advance.
The day will conclude with a special tree lighting ceremony, bringing the community together to celebrate the season of giving and unity.
All vendors participating in the Christmas Extravaganza are required to register at Hobson City Hall, open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
