Heflin, AL – Cleburne County’s Hazzard will follow in sister’s footsteps, play volleyball for Southern Union Community College.
Kassidi Hazzard figures that Southern Union Community College was good enough for her sister, so it’s good enough for her.
The Cleburne County senior defensive specialist signed Wednesday to play volleyball for Southern Union. Older sister Kynsi played there.
“I’m really excited to play volleyball at Southern Union State Community College!” Kassidi Hazzard said. “I’ve heard and seen many great things about the program, and I’m especially looking forward to working with Coach (Ametrice) Jackson and Coach (Regina) Smith. They’re both amazing coaches who know how to bring out the best in their players.
“It also means a lot to me that my sister has recently played here. I’m eager to continue the family tradition while contributing to the team’s success.”
Kassidi Hazzard finished her high school career with 217 aces and 720 digs.
